Cricket Coaches Association of Switzerland
In June 2008 the Cricket Coaches Association of Switzerland (CCAS) was officially launched with the aim of coordinating coaching courses and workshops run around the country and retain a focus on this very important pillar of Swiss cricket.
The CCAS also serves to improve communication and information among Swiss cricket coaches by offering them a forum and a voice.
The Association’s major development programmes concern youth development, officials’ training and coaching.
The spread of the game has been assisted by enthusiastic parents coming forward to participate in ECB coaching courses.
Membership
Membership of the CCAS currently stands at Fr. 25.- per coach per annum.
Register
We have around 40 coaches, half of which hold an internationally recognised certificate.
Directives
The CCAS follow & enforce all ECB directives concerning youth.
Courses
The CCAS organise & run a variety of coaching courses each year.
Swiss coaching awards
ECB Europe’s Sky Sports Outstanding Coach Award was awarded to Michael George in 2009 and again in 2010 to Ivo Favotto.
