Switzerland's international Twenty20 tour to Prague to play in a 6-nation iT20 competition has been cancelled.
Uncertainty surrounding the start of the season, lack of opportunities to practice and select a team, logistical problems in making travel arrangements and organising accommodation have all been cited as reasons for the regretable decision taken by the organisers late last month.
Next to the iT20 World Cup qualifiers that were due to take place later in the year, this would have been the biggest international meeting in Europe.
Switzerland are still hopeful of fitting in some international cricket if the season can get started before June 2020, but given the pressures that the domestic leagues will put on fixtures, any international match would now have to be late in the season.
