The Cricket Switzerland 2020 Annual General Meeting took place on Saturday 29th February 2020, in Berne.
Admidst various precautionary measures in place due to the COVID-19 virus, Cricket Switzerland had received permission from the Berne authorities to proceed with the meeting.
President, Alexander Mackay, welcomed everyone to the meeting. After the review of the 2019 season, not excluding the financial and auditors' reports, the meeting proceeded to discharge the 2019 committee and elect the committee empowered with the responsibility of running the association in 2020.
The Executive witnessed two changes: Amit Kumar replaced Farid Din as Publicity Officer; while Thileepan Rasalingam replaces Aseem Dhawan as the Sponsorship Officer.
The composition of the League Disciplinary & the Selection Committee was also agreed.
Former members of the executive and the two sub-committees were thanked for their efforts and Farid Din & Aseem Dhawan received Services to Cricket awards.
Novartis Cricket Club and Pakhtoon Zalmi Cricket Club were both welcomed as affiliate members, taking the total number of members to Cricket Switzerland to twenty-eight. They were also granted special dispensation to compete in the CSPL & PT20 domestic senior competitions respectively.
Finally, Aargau Cricket Club became an associate member.
Immediatey proceeding the AGM there was a Council Meeting to deal with the forthcoming season.
International fixtures were announced for all age groups as were domestic coaching & umpiring courses.
Additionally, Zurich Cricket Cricket Club were granted special dispensation to submit a 2nd XI in the Pickwick T20 League.
Dates for the knock-out phases for both senior competitions were announced along with venues for the respective finals.
Finally, amendments to the match reports & proposed league rule changes were announced.
After the meeting, Dukes pink cricket balls were distributed along with Pickwick advertising banners.
