Volunteers wanted at Ice Cricket

The cricketing world's attention will be focused on St Moritz, Switzerland on Thursday 8th & Friday 9th February 2017 when the world's cricket legends and record holders battle it out on ice and snow in T20 style at St Moritz ICE CRICKET and this is a chance for you to be part of it!

Would you like to be part of the biggest cricketing event ever to be hosted in Switzerland? Cricket Switzerland is looking for volunteers at St Moritz Ice Cricket to help us explain cricket to the hundreds of spectators expected on one or both days of the event (8th & 9th February 2018).

Voluntary Greeters

Cricket Switzerland requires two ‘greeters’ to greet cricket fans and casual spectators with a smile, direct them to the cricket and explain the action on the lake.
You will be able to stand around on the lake for 3-5 hours each day, are knowledgeable on the game of cricket and able to explain the basics of the game and the action on the lake in English & German (all additional languages welcomed, specifically Hindi or another sub-continental language).

Voluntary Cricket Nets Coach

Alone, or together with a colleague, you will manage the cricket net set up at St Moritz Ice Cricket. You are gifted in languages and knowledgeable about cricket, ideally a cricket coach, and keen to bring the game closer to the hundreds of visitors. You will be able to explain the tactics applied on the field and supervise practiced and novice spectators while they try their hand at batting and bowling.
We wouldn’t be surprised if one of the stars to come over and help you out for an over or two!

These are voluntary positions but in return you will be provided with lunch and benefit from an unforgettable opportunity to be part of an event involving ex-international cricketing legends like Virendar Sehwag, Shoaib Akhtar, Mohammad Kaif, Mahela Jayawardene, Graeme Smith, Jacques Kallis, Lasith Malinga, the list goes on.
