International Match Manager's report

Chris Lodge, Cricket Switzerland's International Match Manager, delivers in his report ahead of the Annual General Meeting scheduled for Saturday 27th February 2016.

"The 2015 Season was successful in terms of results and standing of the Swiss senior team and for clubs competing internationally. Switzerland won the Central European Development League ODI Tri-Nation Series in Warsaw. This will be defended in 2016 in Prague.

The national team won the David Barmes Trophy against 2014 Cricket Switzerland Premier League Champions, Nomads. Most Cricket Switzerland clubs were represented on the team.

The Swiss National Team also competed in the Central Europe ODI cup in Warsaw beating both the Czech and Polish teams to hold top position in the Central European Development ODI League.
Unfortunately our planned T20 tournament was cancelled due to other countries pulling out and despite the late offers of a 7 Day tournament in Greece and a weekend tournament in Malta it proved to difficult for sufficient players to arrange time off at quite short notice.

2016 Schedule
The Council will review be informed of plans for 2016, which are summarized as follows:
We have already arranged dates for the 2016 season:

There is also a possibility of another weekend 3-4 September TBC.

I propose to free the International weekend of 2-3 July back to clubs for league matches as I think it is highly unlikely that players will be able to play an international this weekend.

We also have the DBMT V's Power at a date TBC, I hope as last year to have a player from each club as part of this Swiss representative XI. If a club does not have a player available I will call on other members of the national squad from clubs already represented.
