Uprising CC continue their winning streak

Uprising CC 203-9 (20 overs) defeatedGeneva XI Stars 129-9 (20 overs) by 74 runs

Uprising CC continue their winning streak with a thumping victory over Geneva XI Stars in their final league game and in the process are on the cusp of ensuring home rights for the semi-finals.
Winning the toss, Uprising had no hesitation in electing to bat first, however XI Stars drew first blood by picking up an early wicket. This did not stop Uprising from playing attacking cricket and were on59 in only 6 overs before they lost the second opener Idrees. A strong third wicket partnership of 70 runs in quick time provided the perfect launch pad for the middle and lower order. A strong finish ensured that Uprising finish on massive 203/9 in 20 overs.
Chasing a stiff target XI Stars got off to a bad start losing their first wicket in 4 over with just 27 runs on the board. Uprising continued picking up regular wickets ensuring that XI stars had no momentum in the chase. Lack of any meaningful partnerships for XI Stars, ensured that any hopes of their victory and qualification into knock out phases were quickly evaporated. XI Stars finished on 129/9 in their allocated 20 overs falling short by 74 runs.

Uprising CC with their hugely superior NRR are on the verge of ensuring their first ever home semi finals.
