GICC triumph over CERN

Geneva International CC 150-8 (20 overs) defeated CERN CC 130-9 (20 overs) by 20 runs

GICC tasted their first victory in 2015 edition of Pickwick Cup competition by defeating CERN CC by 20 runs at the Bout du Monde on Sunday 31st May 2015. 

After winning the toss on a nice sunny day, CERN CC inserted GICC into bat. GICC kept losing wickets at regular intervals, however, helped by a stylish 48 from Habib and generous extras from CERN CC, GICC finished on 150/8 in 20 overs.

For CERN, skipper Imtiaz was the most successful bowler with 4 wickets.
After a quick break, CERN set about chasing 150. 

After a decent start they lost their way in the middle overs and never managed to gain the momentum necessary to overhaul the total.

CERN CC ended up on 130/9 in allocated 20 overs falling short by 20 runs. 

Waqar top scored for CERN with 44 not out and Azmat made a free scoring 30 but there was little support from rest of players. For GICC, Thomas, Nick and Jibran picked up 2 wickets each.
