Swiss Colts continue their victory form

Swiss Colts started their Pickwick T20 season with a convincing victory against GICC.Swiss Colts won the toss and chose to bat first. Aidan A and Yash R opened the batting with Aidan A hitting a four of the first ball of the match. They had a good opening partnership of 84 after 10 overs. Aidan A got out with a magnificent 53 scored. Jai S came to the crease and kept up the good run-rate with Yash R. The second wicket fell in the 17th over when the Colts were on 159. Yash R scored a well deserved 56. Jai S smashed the ball all over the park in the last 3 overs scoring a firing 58 not out. Ashwin V finished the innings with a 6 which brought the Swiss Colts to a massive total of 204. This is the record score of the Swiss Colts in a T20 match.
Ashwin V opened the bowling for the Swiss Colts with a wicket of the very first ball of the innings. Swiss Colts continued taking wickets in regular intervals which put GICC under pressure. Balaji R (37) and Hemanth K (27) put up a good fight for GICC however could not bring them close enough to the target. GICC fell short of 52 runs with a total score of 152 for 9 wickets.

Summary: Swiss Colts  204-2 (20 overs) beat GICC 152-9 (20 overs) by 52 runs

Uprising CC win a thriller against Cossonay

Swiss Cricket registered its first ever super over and Uprising CC managed to keep the nerves and win against Cossonay CC in the Super Over. The match began in a spectacular fashion with Uprising CC losing a string of wickets and at one stage were 13/4 and in a serious danger of falling well short of the par score. The experienced duo of Amir Khan and Nelson Burell then rescued the team and Uprsising CC managed to end up with 113, a fighting score on the Vernier wicket. For Cossonay, Vaibhav was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 13/4 in 4 overs.
Cossonay CC started their reply cautiously and Sriniketh looked in fine form punishing anything loose. However, he had no support from any of his team mates. Cossonay needed 10 of the final two overs but good bowling by Uprising resulted in the scores being tied up at 113.
Cossonay batted in the first ever super over bowled by Samim which resulted only in 7 runs. Vaibhav was in charge of defending 7 runs for Cossonay but the first ball resulted in a six and two more runs from the next ball sealed the game for Uprising CC.

Summary: Uprising 113-7 (20 overs) beat Cossonay 113-8 (20 overs) in a super over

Cossonay defeat GICC at Bout du Monde

In an earlier game played at Bout du Monde, Cossonay convincingly defeated GICC.

Batting first on a sporting wicket, GICC managed only 105 of their allotted 20 overs in face of good disciplined bowling and fielding from Cossonay. In return Cossonay looked very professional and won the game convincingly by 9 wickets in 18.1 overs.

Summary: GICC 105-9 (20 overs) lost to Cossonay 106-1 (18.1 overs) by 9 wkts
