Geneva XI Stars won the toss and decided to bat first on an extremely hot summer day in Switzerland, but decision was proven wrong immediately with the as the early loss of their star batsman Kuldeep Singh for 3 runs with the scorecard reading 21/1 (4.0).
With wickets falling at regular intervals, XI Stars could not build any momentum going into the middle overs of the game. However an excellent innings by Captain Mohammad Ali, who scored 84 Runs
and 36 runs by Raja Hafeez restored a semblance of balance to the game. XI Stars finished on 246/10 in 34.4 overs, a below par score on the fast outfield of Onex. For Uprising, Afif Khan Khattak
was the star performer with match figures of 5-68-7.4 and Samim Zabibullah chipped in with 2-43-5.0
After the innings break Uprising CC started the chase in style with Ankit Sharma and Anser. Anser Mahmood was the first wicket to fall in the 10th over of game to Arjun Vinod. However, Ankit
continued his rich vein of form by punishing anything loose and stayed till the end for Uupirisng CC. He was ably supported by Saad who made a good 53 and the finishing touches were
provided by Kamran Dar who scored a quick fire 43 in just 14 balls taking Uprising to 5 wicket victory with 37 balls to spare. For XI Stars Ali Saleem was the pick of the bowlers with 3/49 and
Arjun Vinod took 2/39.
