The 2015 International Cricket Festival will take place in Zuoz on 13th & 14th June.
The Zuoz tournament, hosted by the Lyceum Alpinum, has been running annually for over twenty years and essentially involves seven adult teams from across Europe plus the Lyceum Alpinum school team.
The hosts, the Lyceum Alpinum school team, are predominantly made up of keen but inexperienced youngsters aged between 13 and 18. As most of the students originate from Switzerland, Germany, Italy and eastern European countries, very few (if any) have prior cricketing experience. A school team player will on average have been playing cricket for roughly two years.
There are teams from elsewhere in Switzerland, from Winterthur & Geneva, and from Italy & Germany that give the event a truly international look & feel.

Cricket has been played at the Lyceum for over ninety years and the school pitches, at almost 1800m above sea level, are thought to be the highest in Europe. The air is thinner (only 80% of the oxygen compared to sea level) and the UV is intense - so sun cream, hats, sun glasses and a cricket jumper are all a must!
This is a friendly event and fairplay is paramount and although it is expected that everyone takes the tournament seriously, it is not expected people take things too seriously. This tournament is called a “Cricket Festival” for good reason, it has a festival atmosphere and teams in the past that have not supported this have found their invitation withdrawn permanently.
Reports of last year's International Festival and the Swiss National Junior Cricket Festival might also be of interest.
