Last weekend four McGee's 40 over league games took place across the country, two in the west & two in the east.
In the west CERN kept up the pressure on the rest of the division when they recorded their second win of the season, this one against the Colts. The Colts managed 129 at Saturday's game at
Prevessin, which CERN readched with 3 wickets in hand to keep them top of the division.
Meanwhile the season's surprise team Uprising had an important win by 4 wickets against Geneva X Stars at Vernier to move in front of them virtue of a slightly better total average.
Every team in the western division have a theoretical chance of qualification for the semi-final stage (due to be played on 24th August), so there is everything to play for.
In the east Berne travelled to Winterthur and recorded an easy win by 144 runs against a Winterthur side that are languishing at the bottom of the division and still to record a win in all
competitions. Berne scored 232 just short of their allotted 40 overs and despite being 50 for no loss, Winterthur collaped to 79 all out one over short of the drinks break. It was only Berne's
second win from 5 games, effectively unable to qualify fro the knock-out stage.
In the divisions other game Nomads retained their unbeaten record by trouncing Power at Bucholz by a massive 195 run margin, keeping their hopes firmly alive and topping the division but Olten & St Gallen close behind.
