On Saturday 5th November 2011 at the 2011 Berne Cricket Club Curry Evening and in front of an excited crowd of nearly 150 people made up of cricketers, ex-pats, BCC members, awards winners, juniors & parents and guests, the Swiss Cricket Association presented the 2011 National Cricket Awards.

The first group of awards were the Bob Barber Awards for the best performing players in their respective age groups, presented by none other than ex-England Test player, Bob Barber.

Next it was the turn of the S.C.A. President, Mr. Alexander Mackay, to present four Services to Cricket Awards to four individuals that had devoted their time to Swiss Cricket over the years and had stood down at the Annual General Meeting earlier in the year.

Lastly, Ms Mira Koshy, Chairlady of the Swiss Federation Of Cricket Umpires & Scorers (swissFOCUS) presented the swissFOCUS Spirit Of Cricket Award to Mr. Raja Hafeez of Geneva XI Stars CC for thier explempary behaviour on and off the cricket field.

After the awards award winners and attendees enjoyed a delightful curry prepared by members of the Berne Cricket Club.
Afterwards there was a raffle with lots of generous prizes and the auction of an S.C.B. team shirt signed by all the players. And after desert & coffee the evening was rounded off to dancing to the delightful tunes of resident DJ Chanaka.
